Digital Property Framework:
A standardized framework for investing and managing digital property has been established by Rational Data for use on the Rational Data Network. The Digital Property Framework sets standards for online properties, digital rights, registration processes, rights assignments, title searches, easement certifications and more. The Digital Property Framework is part of the commerce model on the Rational Data Network.
Digital property is different than intellectual property, where intellectual property is about the form of information, in our definition digital property rights relate to the rights associated with a space.
The Digital Property Framework (DPF) currently consists of several organizations:
· The Digital Property Registry (DPR)· International Digital Exchange (IDE)
· The Digital Library Association (DLA)
· The Digital Property Listing Service (DPLS)
